Welcome, visitor, to my humble web site !
At the start of this weekend I never would have guessed that I would have gone so far as to secure some server space and put out a web site, but the fact is that the only way any potential employer, client, or partner can know what I can do on the web without actually seeing something on a web site is to take my word for it, and in this day and age, unfortunately, that has become unacceptable. Therefore, I was struck with a moment of clarity. The only way to prove I had any kind of web development skills was to go out and put up a web site.
This site is the essence of a RADD project. It's quick, it's dirty, but it's mine. Having spent the weekend nowhere near a computer it is only a small sample of what I bring to the table. There is not an .asp page in the lot, as I am not experienced with ASP and besides, these servers aren't running IIS, so it wouldn't run ASP anyway. However, much of this site is constructed in VBScript. A gimme is the day counter above.
The above script is some pretty standard stuff, using a julian date value representing the Gregorian date for December 31, minus today's julian date, leaving the remainder of the year. If you'd like to peak at the code, just click on the computer. That's the stuff that's nice and easy.
Click on the table of contents to see the stuff that's nice and rough.
